Aakriti by MK
Aakriti by MK is a celebration of heritage, craftsmanship, and timeless artistry.
With over 20 years of experience in the textile, fashion, and garment industry, my journey has been deeply rooted in learning every stage of the craft, from working closely with fabric mills and understanding printing techniques to hands-on experience in garment production. This foundation has shaped not only my expertise but also our passion for preserving traditional art forms.
Aakriti by MK was born from a dream: to bring the beauty of India’s oldest heritage technique "Hand Block Printing" to Canada, the place we now call home.
Each piece we create is entirely handcrafted using an age-old process. Intricate designs are carefully engraved onto wooden blocks, dipped in plant and mineral based dyes, and then hand stamped onto natural cotton fabrics. Unlike screen or machine printing, this method ensures that every product carries the mark of the artisan’s touch, making each piece truly one of a kind.
Our process is rooted in purity and sustainability from natural fibers to natural dyes, resulting in creations that are as gentle on the environment as they are beautiful to wear.
This passion is deeply personal. Growing up, I watched my mother sew and knit garments with care and dedication. Her creativity and love for handmade craftsmanship became the foundation of my own journey. What began as inspiration has now evolved into a brand that carries forward that legacy.
At Aakriti by MK, we are proud to bring this timeless Indian art to a diverse Canadian community, connecting cultures through craftsmanship and sharing stories through every handmade piece.
With Love, Maanprit
SIYA JEWELRY
Aakriti by MK is my lifelong passion. It’s where culture, structure, and handmade elements come to life. But creativity doesn’t live in just one form.
Siya Jewelry is my favorite hobby, it's my favorite creative escape. A space where I slow down, work with my hands, and assemble beautiful elements into meaningful pieces. Because I have extremely sensitive skin, I’ve always struggled to find jewelry that I could wear comfortably. That personal challenge became part of Siya’s foundation.
Siya Jewelry isn’t just an accessory line. Jewelry, for me, is personal. It’s the finishing touch.
It’s something you feel before anyone else notices.
If you love the craftsmanship and design philosophy behind Aakriti by MK, you’ll fall in love with Siya Jewelry.
It’s not an extension of Aakriti.
It’s a different mood...
A different rhythm...
A different kind of joy...
If you appreciate thoughtful design and pieces made with intention, I invite you to explore this side of my creative world.
